Description
Lake Wollumboola is part of Jervis Bay National Park.
Many animals rely on the lake. The lakes plant life provides foundations for the local native animals to thrive, including the black swans.
Jerrinja people ( the local Aboriginals) were sustain by many of these animals including the black swan or Goodyen.
Goodyen congregated on the lake in large numbers and Jerrinja people would use the native reeds that fringe the lake to hide and ambush them.
Tools were also made out of the materials the lake provided.
The Nulla Nulla (aboriginal weapon) was used for hunting birds such as Goodyen (black swan).
