Description
Taronga also assists with funding Wildlife Protection Units (WPU) to protect the 3,200km2 Bukit Tigapuluh national park refuge in Sumatra. The WPU protect against illegal logging and poaching, which is vital as this region is home to at least 30 Sumatran tigers and has been identified as one of 20 critical habitats for global tiger survival.
Additionally, Taronga provides a field conservation grant to the organisation Save Indonesian Endangered Species based in the Way Kambas National Park which is the last protected lowland habitat for the critically endangered Sumatran tiger, and many other species including the Malayan Tapir and Sun Bear.

Congratulations Miroslava. this is a wonderful Light Sculpture of the Fuzzy Warm and Soft Sumartran Tiger. The Taronga Zoo in Sydney Australia assists with funding Wildlife Protection Units (WPU) to protect the 3,200km2 Bukit Tigapuluh national park refuge in Sumatra. The WPU protect against illegal logging and poaching, which is vital as this region is home to at least 30 Sumatran tigers and has been identified as one of 20 critical habitats for global tiger survival. Additionally, Taronga provides a field conservation grant to the organization Save Indonesian Endangered Species based in the Way Kambas National Park which is the last protected lowland habitat for the critically endangered Sumatran tiger, and many other species including the Malayan Tapir and Sun Bear. Now I hope I have this correct! I do Know, Taronga does great work and the Zoo is wonderful!

Absolutely correct !!!! Thank you for writing all that and appreciate the feature for Taronga !! They do amazing work and support many wildlife spices and take amazing care of the animals they have with many breading programs, Actually one of the older tigers gonne be getting special surgery bec she is cross-eyed and has cataracts . But what they do for wildlife is even more important and I hope they will raise the million for the wildlife for all the endangered animals especially in Asia. But its up to all of us including especially people who live or visit Asia to become wildlife witness and stop the illegal trade !!!
