Description
I think every child should have this picture to remember to love their greens and grow strong and healthy !!
Hugo from Australian reptile park in Gosford sure love his lettuce and he sure is big and strong and healthy. He now around 67 and he may be pushing the human retirement age but Hugo the enormous Galapagos tortoise showed no signs of slowing down. He is fit and healthy.
Arriving at the Reptile Park as a 13-year-old in 1963, Hugo is only now approaching middle age for his species.
The South American tortoises typically have a lifespan between 150 to 200 years.
Actually he remind me of ET.

Love these closeups of reptiles! The contrast of the ruffled green lettuce against the scales is wonderful. LF fb

What an amazing shot! I have some photos of a Galapagos tortoise that I took at our local zoo. This photo motivates me to want to do a painting of him! L
