Description
Taken at Sea Life Sydney in 2012 in the entry aquarium tank which they no longer have. I actually coudnt find her on my 2nd visit .
Blue-spotted stingrays ,Taeniura lymma (Forsskål 1775) ,live alone or in small groups , migrating in large schools into shallow sandy areas on the rising tide in order to feed, and dispersing back into the ocean as the tide falls to shelter in the coral crevices of the reef . Known in Australian waters from Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia, to northern New South Wales. Elsewhere, widespread in the Indo-West-Central Pacific.
It is also called on wiki Bluespotted ribbontail ray.

Love the composition with the wavy shapes, peering eyes and blue dots, Miroslava - L/F!
