Description
The diamond python is a non-venomous snake found in coastal areas of New South Wales, Australia. I seen him few times in Sydney on bushwalks with my dogs. Got a shot on my phone, but every time I bring my camera I never see one, so they must be camera shy :)
It is typically black above with cream or yellow spots on many of the individual scales, forming a series of diamond shaped patterns. The under surface is usually cream or yellow. On average, the diamond python will grow to 1.8m, however some specimens up to 2.8m have been documented. He is a subspecies of the carpet python !
This one is a baby from Wildlife Sydney attraction in Darling harbour.

Ooh, you are very brave Miroslava! If I saw this on one of my walks, I wouldn't go back! f/v
Miroslava Jurcik replied:
Thank you, actually the only time I was really scared on a walk was when I realise the snake I saw and who hissed at me was a tiger snake ! :)

Wow! What a beauty! It's gorgeous. We saw vipers yesterday, but in the zoo. Fabulous find and capture.
